Warranty Policy

CEA Automotive Service Warranty Policy

Our diagnostic and repair work is based on testing the vehicle or unit under real operating conditions and recording what we find.

Modern vehicle electronics, EV and hybrid systems and module repairs can involve several connected faults. The policy below explains clearly what our warranty covers and where its limits apply.

Section 1

General Warranty Information

All repairs carried out by CEA Automotive include a 1-month workmanship warranty from the date of collection or delivery unless otherwise stated.

This warranty applies specifically to:

  • Repair procedures
  • Services carried out
  • Installation work
  • Workmanship
  • Specialist technical processes performed by CEA Automotive

Warranty coverage applies only to the scope of services and repairs carried out by CEA Automotive.

Section 2

Amplifier & Module Repair Warranty

Repairs relating to:

  • OEM Amplifiers
  • Audio Modules
  • Electronic Modules
  • EV & Hybrid Related Modules

include a 1-month workmanship warranty unless otherwise stated.

Where it is confirmed that a fault is directly related to the repair work, installation or technical procedures carried out by CEA Automotive, the matter will be assessed under the workshop warranty policy.

Section 3

Water Damage, Liquid Ingress & External Tampering

If any of the following are identified during inspection or assessment, warranty coverage may become void:

  • Repeated water ingress
  • Moisture contamination
  • Oxidation or corrosion
  • Physical damage
  • Opening or tampering with the unit
  • Repair attempts or intervention by third parties
  • Unauthorised modifications
  • Any external interference outside CEA Automotive

Due to the nature of electronic systems and water-damaged units, long-term reliability cannot always be guaranteed.

Section 4

Diagnostic Services & Inspection Process

Diagnostic services, inspection procedures, bench testing and specialist evaluation processes do not guarantee a final repair outcome and are not covered under warranty.

CEA Automotive carries out diagnostics based on:

  • Existing symptoms
  • Stored and live data
  • Operational testing
  • Real-world vehicle behaviour
  • Technical findings obtained during inspection

Final reports and technical conclusions are provided based on actual findings and system conditions observed during the diagnostic process.

On modern vehicles, especially EV and hybrid systems, diagnosis may need to happen in stages. Finding or resolving one fault can reveal another issue that could not be tested earlier.

Charges relating to:

  • Diagnostic Services
  • Bench Testing
  • Initial Inspection
  • Specialist Evaluation Procedures

relate to technician time, specialist equipment usage, technical analysis and structured diagnostic procedures and are therefore non-refundable.

Section 5

Intermittent, Progressive & Non-Reproducible Faults

Certain faults, particularly within electronic systems, EV & Hybrid platforms and vehicle communication networks, may present as:

  • Intermittent faults
  • Conditional faults
  • Multi-stage faults
  • Non-reproducible faults

Some symptoms or failures may only occur under specific operating conditions, temperatures, system loads, timing conditions or real-world vehicle usage and may not always be present during initial inspection or workshop testing.

The diagnostic process for these types of faults may require stage-based diagnostics and progressive analysis procedures. In some cases, further diagnostic stages only become possible after an initial fault has been identified, stabilised or resolved.

Where a vehicle or unit returns due to continuation, recurrence or change in fault behaviour, the matter will first be reassessed and technically evaluated by CEA Automotive.

Where it is confirmed that the issue is directly related to the original repair or service carried out by CEA Automotive, the matter will be handled under warranty assessment procedures.

However, where:

  • The fault is unrelated
  • The failure originates from a separate cause
  • External operational or vehicle-related conditions are involved
  • Additional diagnostics or testing procedures are required

additional charges for diagnostics, testing or further investigation may apply.

Section 6

Parts, Components & Customer-Supplied Units

Some repairs or services may involve the use of:

  • New parts
  • Used parts
  • Refurbished parts
  • Customer-supplied parts or modules

CEA Automotive provides warranty coverage for workmanship, installation and technical services carried out by the workshop, but is not the manufacturer of supplied parts or modules.

CEA Automotive therefore accepts no liability for:

  • Internal component failure
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Inherent part failure
  • Reliability or lifespan of used parts
  • Internal defects within customer-supplied components
  • Consumable component deterioration

Where it is confirmed that an issue is directly related to the workmanship, installation or technical procedures carried out by CEA Automotive, the matter will be assessed under warranty.

However, where the issue originates from:

  • The part itself
  • Internal failure of the component
  • Used or refurbished parts
  • Customer-supplied units
  • Conditions outside the repair scope

responsibility will not rest with CEA Automotive.

Section 7

Partial Repairs, Declined Recommendations & Third-Party Work

In certain cases, customers may choose to approve only part of the recommended repair process due to:

  • Budget limitations
  • Time constraints
  • Personal decisions
  • Alternative repair preferences

In such situations, CEA Automotive remains responsible only for the services, repairs and procedures that were specifically:

  • Approved
  • Carried out by the workshop
  • Documented within the final invoice or service records

Where:

  • Additional repairs
  • Installation work
  • Programming
  • Assembly
  • Or any further intervention or services

are carried out by third parties or external workshops, CEA Automotive accepts no responsibility for:

  • Final system outcome
  • Subsequent faults
  • Resulting damage
  • Problems caused by work carried out outside the workshop

Where customers choose to continue repairs against technical recommendations or outside the advised repair process provided by CEA Automotive, related warranty coverage may become limited or void.

Section 8

Warranty Assessment & Final Decision

All warranty claims, reassessments, return inspections and technical evaluations are subject to specialist inspection and technical assessment by CEA Automotive.

Final decisions regarding:

  • Warranty eligibility
  • Fault relation to original repair work
  • Requirement for reassessment
  • Additional testing procedures
  • Or additional diagnostic charges

will be based on technical findings, operational evidence, testing results and documented workshop records available at the time of assessment.

We aim to give a realistic technical assessment, communicate clearly and handle every warranty enquiry fairly.
