Terms & Conditions of Service – CEA Automotive

Use of CEA Automotive services constitutes acceptance of the following Terms & Conditions.

These terms explain how our services work, what you can expect from us and what we need from you before, during and after a job.

Section 1

General Terms

CEA Automotive provides specialist services relating to:

  • EV & Hybrid Diagnostics
  • Advanced Vehicle Diagnostics
  • Auto Electrical
  • Vehicle Electronics
  • OEM Amplifier Repair
  • Thermal Management
  • And related specialist services

based on available information, real-world system conditions, operational testing and technical data obtained during the inspection and diagnostic process.

All specialist services are carried out based on technical procedures, real-world system behaviour and operational findings. Certain diagnostic or repair procedures may involve staged, layered or multi-part processes.

Section 2

Estimates & Quotations

All prices, estimates and quotations are provided based on the information available and visible conditions identified during the initial inspection process.

In some cases, further faults, additional damage or additional technical information may only become apparent after continued diagnostics, dismantling procedures, operational testing or extended inspection processes.

Where this occurs, the customer will be informed before continuation of work.

Section 3

Diagnostic & Inspection Charges

Charges relating to:

  • Diagnostics
  • Initial Inspection
  • Bench Diagnostic
  • Testing
  • Specialist evaluation procedures

relate to technician time, specialist equipment usage, technical knowledge and structured diagnostic procedures and are therefore non-refundable.

Where, with customer approval:

  • Parts are ordered
  • Components are installed
  • Or stages of diagnostics, repair or testing are carried out

charges relating to parts, labour time, specialist procedures and completed services remain payable, including in situations where the final outcome has not yet been fully achieved or where diagnostics proceed into additional stages.

Section 4

Repairs, Authorisation & Communication

No repairs, parts ordering, programming, installation work or continuation of services will be carried out without customer authorisation.

Customer authorisation may be provided through:

  • Verbal approval
  • SMS
  • Email
  • WhatsApp
  • Or any other traceable communication method

Once approval has been provided and work has commenced, charges relating to labour, specialist procedures, ordered parts or completed work remain payable.

CEA Automotive may contact customers for:

  • Service updates
  • Process authorisation
  • Quotations
  • Service coordination
  • Or repair progress communication

through:

  • Telephone calls
  • SMS
  • WhatsApp
  • Or email

Customers remain responsible for ensuring all contact details provided are accurate and up to date.

Section 5

Deposits & Booking Payments

Any deposit, booking fee or initial payment relating to:

  • Bookings
  • Diagnostic Services
  • Bench Testing
  • Postal Repair Requests
  • Or workshop time and resource allocation

is non-refundable.

Section 6

Vehicle Collection, Storage & Uncollected Items

Once a vehicle, module or equipment has been confirmed as ready for collection, the customer is responsible for arranging payment and collection within a reasonable timeframe.

Where vehicles, modules or equipment remain uncollected for more than 10 working days after notification, storage charges of £15 per day may apply.

Where vehicles, modules or equipment remain uncollected for more than 45 days following final collection notification, CEA Automotive reserves the right to take action in accordance with the:

Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977

including actions relating to:

  • Storage
  • Removal
  • Recycling
  • Sale
  • Or recovery of outstanding balances and associated costs
Section 7

Postal Repairs & Online Repair Requests

For Postal Repair and Online Repair Request services, responsibility for:

  • Packaging
  • Courier selection
  • Initial shipment to CEA Automotive

remains with the customer.

CEA Automotive will always aim to use:

  • Appropriate packaging
  • Suitable transport services
  • Appropriate shipment cover relative to item value

when returning repaired units.

However, any:

  • Delay
  • Damage
  • Loss
  • Or courier-related issue

will be handled and assessed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant transport provider.

Section 8

Parts, Components & Customer-Supplied Units

Certain services may involve the use of:

  • New parts
  • Used parts
  • Refurbished parts
  • Customer-supplied parts or modules

CEA Automotive provides warranty coverage for workmanship, installation, repairs and specialist procedures carried out by the workshop, but is not the manufacturer of supplied parts or equipment and therefore accepts no liability for inherent component failure, manufacturing defects, internal faults or overall part performance.

Section 9

Customer Responsibilities & Information Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information relating to:

  • Previous repairs
  • Fault symptoms
  • Error messages
  • Previous damage
  • Water ingress
  • Third-party repair history
  • Software or hardware modifications
  • And any other relevant vehicle or unit information

Where incomplete, inaccurate or withheld information results in:

  • Disruption to diagnostics
  • Increased testing time
  • Additional inspection procedures
  • Or increased operational costs

additional charges may apply.

Section 10

Partial Repairs, Declined Recommendations & Third-Party Work

In some situations, customers may choose to approve only part of the recommended repair process or technical recommendations provided by CEA Automotive.

In such cases, CEA Automotive remains responsible only for the services, repairs and procedures that were:

  • Approved
  • Carried out by the workshop
  • And documented within final records and invoices

Where continuation of repairs, installation work, programming, assembly or any further procedures are carried out by third parties or external workshops, CEA Automotive accepts no responsibility for:

  • Final system outcome
  • Subsequent faults
  • Resulting damage
  • Or problems arising from work carried out outside the workshop
Section 11

Outstanding Balances & Release of Vehicles or Modules

Until full payment has been received for:

  • Diagnostics
  • Repairs
  • Parts
  • Storage charges
  • Bench Testing
  • And all related services carried out

vehicles, modules or equipment will not be released or returned.

This also applies in situations where:

  • Repairs remain incomplete
  • Further work was not approved
  • Or a final repair outcome was not achieved

but specialist time, services, parts or procedures have already been carried out.

Section 12

Liability Limitations

CEA Automotive always aims to carry out all services with the highest possible level of care, technical competence and professional standards.

However, due to the specialist nature of modern vehicle electronics, EV & Hybrid systems, communication networks and complex diagnostic procedures, CEA Automotive accepts no liability for:

  • Indirect losses
  • Vehicle downtime
  • Additional expenses
  • Recovery charges
  • Loss of earnings
  • Or faults and failures outside the scope of services carried out by the workshop

CEA Automotive also accepts no responsibility for:

  • Damage
  • Loss
  • Cosmetic issues
  • Technical issues
  • Or incidents occurring during loading, unloading, transportation or vehicle movement carried out by third-party recovery, transport or towing companies

This includes:

  • Transportation to the workshop
  • Transportation from the workshop
  • And any movement carried out by external transport providers or third parties
